How To Develop Your Sculpt

Isn’t it wonderful to still keep a perfect set of abs even when you’re at home for the holiday season? The usual result of being at home during the holidays – with all the food and lots of time for sleep-is to gain a couple of pounds in one’s weight. If you are a health watcher, you may find this very uncomfortable. So how do you keep your body slim and slender even when it’s the season of cookies, candies, and creams? Here are some exercises that you can do at home to improve your abdominal muscles and to keep burning fats from your body this holiday season.

Standing Rotations. To start this exercise, assume the upright standing position with your feet in line with your shoulders. Your hands should be placed behind your head. Next, flex a hip and bring your leg to your chest as close as you can go. Keep that position while you turn your upper body towards the direction of the same leg that you raised by flexing your knee. You can do this for 30 to 45 seconds and repeat the procedure to the other side. Make sure that you incorporate the correct way of breathing when you perform this exercise.

Sitting Knee Tuck. This exercise is best for toning your abs. To start it, sit on the floor with your legs close together. Support your body by placing your arms behind your torso and place them steadily on the floor. Gently recline your body until you make a 60 degree angle. By flexing your hips, bring your knees close to your chest in a quick and tight motion. Be sure that you are using your hip and abdominal strength in lifting your feet. Do the exercise in as many repetitions as you can tolerate.

Hip roll. This is an easy exercise to make your oblique abdominal muscles stronger. To do this, you need to lie on your back with the knees flexed. You arms should also be flat on the floor. Gently swing your knees towards the left side until your left leg touches the floor. Bring it back to the starting position. Do the same procedure to the other side. You can do at least 2 sets of 10 rolls to each side coupled with 20 seconds of rest between the sets.

Even when you are at home, you can still keep your body in check and you can even develop your abs if you continue to work it out. You also have the option of proceeding to more complex abdominal exercises by buying your own home fitness equipment. This way, even when you are not able to go to the gym, you can still continue your routines every day.
